WHAT IF EVERYTHING YOU THOUGHT YOU KNEW ABOUT AIDS WAS WRONG?

Please don’t worry and get upset…..we’re just talking about information here.

The question in the title is actually the TITLE OF A BOOK by a young woman who tested HIV-positive almost 15 years ago, and has lived a normal and healthy life ever since, marrying and raising a family (all of whom are HIV-negative), while declining anti-HIV drugs. She also started a support group, ALIVE and WELL AIDS alternatives, for HIV-positive people who want to research what is known about the virus, about the effects of being diagnosed HIV-positive, about the dangers of the anti-HIV drugs, and about how to live normally while HIV-positive.

Now, there is a movie called The Other Side of AIDS

Did you know that the HIV test doesn’t test for HIV? Did you know that the manufacturers of these tests state explicitly that the tests are not for the diagnosis of HIV infection? How many of us knows that there are dozens of common conditions that are known to produce “false-positive” reactions on the HIV tests? And that one of these conditions is pregnancy? Are you aware that if you live in Africa, you can be diagnosed as an AIDS sufferer without ever having an HIV test? And that those who ARE tested are overwhelmingly pregnant women - because they are the ones who are most likely to come in to a medical clinic. Is it comforting to you to know that if you get an AIDS diagnosis by one particular criterion here in the States, you can immediately be cured by going to Canada, where that criterion isn’t considered to indicate AIDS?

Whatever you think about the film, doesn’t it seem like there is enough evidence contrary to the current paradigm that we might be wise to ask some questions about the foundations of the whole AIDS “structure”?

I’ll tell you one that I’m personally curious about….what is the normal range of CD4 (a measure of immune function) counts in healthy HIV-negative people? This is really important since the CD4 count is one of the things that can TRIGGER AN AIDS DIAGNOSIS and lead to taking a lot of really dangerous drugs. And we simply don’t know what “normal” is. Doesn’t that seem strange?

If you are suspicious that there may be something wrong, please be careful about voicing questions—they can get you into a good deal of trouble. Just ask the man who has probably suffered the most for his insistence on scientific integrity, PETER DUESBERG. Once a hot young scientist, very big in cancer research, and a world expert on retroviruses, he has been shut out of American science because he refused to shut up about his doubts that HIV (a retrovirus - his specialty) could cause AIDS.

Science is supposed to be conducted in the laboratory, and those who are wrong are supposed to be refuted by the evidence emerging from the labs. However, that’s not what is going on in “AIDS science”, and that should make us all a bit suspicious.
