THERE ARE SOME SERIOUSLY SQUEAMISH PEOPLE AT HARVARD…...

There are posters being hung on the walls of that august institution.

“I personally find the image disgusting and don’t want to walk past it everyday,” said Nichele M. McClendon ’06, who said she did not tear down any posters. “It doesn’t have to do with abortion as an issue or free speech; it’s about being decent and not being disgusting.”

What can sensitive Ms. McClendon be objecting to…...?

Nothing much, actually. Just PHOTOGRAPHS of a normal baby developing in the womb. It’s no more than real life.

If the pro-choice crowd REALLY wants to be disgusted, they should have a look at THE RESULTS of their enthusiasm. One might say that this was also “real life”, although that hardly seems the proper term for these photographs.

There must be a term for those who are vegetarians (or even vegans) on ethical grounds, but who are silent in the face of the slaughter of the innocents going on in this country and around the world. I just can’t think of one that really fits.
