We eat a LOT of different stuff imported from around the world. But (according to American Heritage magazine), ONE of them is far and away the most successful…...
So, take a guess—which would YOU say? 93% of all Americans eat it at least once/month (our family is part of the 7%). Think, now….no peeking until you actually guess….....
And the winner (according to YOU) is….....
Pizza! It’s pizza—the only “ethnic” food not listed under the country of origin in the yellow pages restaurant listings. It’s under “pizza”.
But, this success didn’t come easy—first seen in 1905, pizza was decidedly a niche food until the late ‘40s.
Even if you, like us, don’t join the crowd and eat a lot of pizza, you’ll find THE STORY OF PIZZA IN AMERICA fascinating.
