HAVE YOU BEEN THROUGH A TSA AIRPORT CHECK LATELY?

To avoid problems taking lots of time, and perhaps getting my name in some database that would cause me even more trouble, I’ve stifled myself over and over, nodding politely, doing as I’m told, and thanking the officers for their alertness and care. 

However, THIS IS WHAT I REALLY THINK OF THE SITUATION

UPDATE 2: Sanity may be starting to creep into the situation, at least if you can believe THIS STORY suggesting that some profiling may be used…...since every terrorist who has attacked the U.S. in the last 20 years has fit precisely the same profile, that profile may soon be used as ONE of the criteria that would get a person a bit of extra scrutiny.  Ya think?!

However, the UK‘s Department for Transport said it had no immediate plans to end the requirements introduced since last week’s terror alert for everyone boarding an aircraft in Britain, including pilots and airline stewards. The measures include searches of every second passenger and no cabin luggage larger than 45cm by 35cm by 16cm. US-bound passengers are also banned from taking cosmetics, toiletries, liquids or drinks on board aircraft. The British Airline Pilots Association said it was “illogical and frankly bizarre” to stop pilots taking aboard toothpaste or contact lens fluid, given that they carried thousands of litres of fuel on each flight.
