HAVE I TOLD YOU RECENTLY HOW MUCH I MISS RONALD REAGAN, AMERICA’S GREATEST PRESIDENT?

image

Oh, well…..maybe that’s a little bit over the top.  I’m willing to listen to arguments for someone else…..Lincoln springs to mind.  But, Reagan was surely the greatest in my lifetime, and I think there’s a good case to be made for the greatest of the 20th Century - he certainly leads anyone we’ve had since he was in there.

Anyhow, one day in Germany, he spoke at the Brandenberg Gate, the crossing point (closed) between East and West Germany.  His speech was being made on the German side, but it could be heard by many East Germans on the other side of the Berlin Wall.  Can you listen to THIS PIECE OF THE SPEECH without tears in your eyes?

What a mensch!  Here is the WHOLE SPEECH - you can listen to it, or read it, or listen and follow along.  We just aren’t getting rhetoric like this, today…...
