This is a young Iraqi girl, too young to vote, who inked her finger anyhow—so committed to living in a free country, where the government is chosen by the citizens, that she is risking death at the hands of the terrorists, in order to make her position known.
Did you even *vote* in the last election?
Harold Lezzeni was 81 years old when the house he was born in was wrecked by the landslide - there were four feet of mud that cascaded down the hill behind his place and clean through the living area of the house, sweeping away his library, his photographs, his furniture, and everything.

What could he do? He was 81…his insurance didn’t cover anything due to “floods”, which included the rainstorm that brought the mud. The county, on whose land the mudslide originated, allowed him to spend hundreds of hours over two years compiling the damage figures, and then informed him that they were immune from his claim, so long as no bodily injury was involved. The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) gave him $6,000.00.

This is the newest Courage Award….a mathematician (from Canada, yet) cancels his gig at a sister institution because RYERSON UNIVERSITY hosted a branch of ISRAEL APARTHEID WEEK (or IAW), one of more than 25 (in 2008) around Canada. The week is intended to help people understand that the locus of evil in the Middle East is its only multiparty democracy….the country where Jews and Arabs serve side-by-side in a freely-elected legislature.
During the week,
Lectures, films, and actions will make the point that these latest massacres further confirm the true nature of Israeli Apartheid. IAW 2009 will continue to build and strengthen the growing Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement at a global level.
