NOT SURE WHAT TO BE THANKFUL FOR AT THANKSGIVING THIS YEAR?

Give thanks we live in America, land of the free, home of the brave, where the media’s elite journalists can leak top-secret information with impunity, win Pulitzer Prizes, cash in on lucrative book deals, routinely insult their readership and viewership, broadcast enemy propaganda, turn a blind eye to the victims of jihad, and cast themselves as oppressed victims on six-figure salaries.

DISCOURAGED ABOUT SYRIA, ONE OF THE TERROR-MASTERS OF THE MIDEAST?

Wondering if there’s any alternative to James Baker’s suggestion that Syria and Iran should “help” us bring peace to the area? That would be the same Syria that just ASSASSINATED another Lebanese politician who wants Lebanon to run their own country without interference from Syria - interference first set up and supported by…...James Baker.

BUT, there is another way…..and (I am as certain of this as I am of anything) it is the way that the best President in my lifetime (YOU KNOW who I mean) would take.

SUPPORT THE DEMOCRATIC OPPOSITION.

WHAT IF EVERYTHING YOU THOUGHT YOU KNEW ABOUT AIDS WAS WRONG?

Please don’t worry and get upset…..we’re just talking about information here.

The question in the title is actually the TITLE OF A BOOK by a young woman who tested HIV-positive almost 15 years ago, and has lived a normal and healthy life ever since, marrying and raising a family (all of whom are HIV-negative), while declining anti-HIV drugs. She also started a support group, ALIVE and WELL AIDS alternatives, for HIV-positive people who want to research what is known about the virus, about the effects of being diagnosed HIV-positive, about the dangers of the anti-HIV drugs, and about how to live normally while HIV-positive.

Now, there is a movie called The Other Side of AIDS

THE EURO-WEENIES MAKE IT PLAIN…...

....that it’s the government who will decide what your “rights” mean…..

Doesn’t the “European Court of Human Rights” sound grand…..? Doesn’t having a “court of human rights” make you feel a little safer - I mean, knowing that if your government was violating your human rights, you would have someplace of appeal where human rights would be upheld?

Silly you! “Human rights” are DEFINED, folks…..thank God that in the United States, our rights are recognized as “given”...pre-existing the State, and superior to it. Because when your rights are defined, the devil is in the definition. Not that there aren’t plenty of folk over here who would like (and are working to move) us to have the same kind of “rights” as they do in Europe - SO much more efficient, don’t you see? Save money and time, besides, just like in Europe.

So then, today we have a cautionary tale….poor LESLIE BURKE, an Englishman with a hereditary, progressive, neurological disease which at some point will prevent him from communicating, or swallowing, and eventually is going to kill him. Except that it won’t kill him, because…

THERE ARE LOTS OF QUESTIONS ABOUT HIV AND AIDS

And a brief squib in a recent New Scientist magazine highlights an important one, even though it neglects to ask it explicitly.

But CD4 counts can vary a lot naturally so if you follow the WHO guidelines to the letter, then some people started on anti-retrovirals would not even be infected with HIV, he concludes.

REGARDLESS OF YOUR POSITION ON ABORTION, WHAT DO YOU THINK OF ROE v. WADE?

This was the Supreme Court decision that took jurisdiction over abortion away from the 50 States, and substituted the judgment of seven justices - based on Harry Blackmun’s reading of history and the law. Anyone who thinks Blackmun did a good job in this landmark decision had better read Joseph Dellapenna’s NEW BOOOK, Dispelling the Myths of Abortion History before expressing that opinion in the future.
