MORE CHILLING THAN YOUR AVERAGE HORROR MOVIE…..AND IT’S FREE!
At a wonderful new blog, SERAPHIC SECRET, that I found via another terrific blog, BOOKWORM ROOM, I was directed to the essay referenced in the title of this post.
The subject this essay is the imminent fall of France, and the possible multicultural world war to follow. This isn’t just inflammatory ranting, but a hard-headed look at the facts on the ground and several possibilities for the future. It’s written by a Norwegian blogger and is generously linked so you can check out the sources of his information.

LYING FOR THE GREATER GOOD OF THE IGNORANT MASSES
Well, 68 anti-smoking groups have been caught out! And three major organizations are implicated in the fraud. MICHAEL SIEGEL is REALLY concerned about this, because he’s seriously involved in the anti-smoking movement, and appears to be an honest man.
One possibility is that anti-smoking groups are lying to the public about the science in order to promote smoking bans. If this is the case, then we face an ethical crisis. Such misconduct would represent a serious violation of accepted ethical standards of public health practice.
The second possibility is that anti-smoking groups are not lying, but that they actually believe that hardening of the arteries can occur in 30 minutes. If this is the case, then we face a crisis of scientific credibility. Because if we do believe that the process which leads to heart disease can happen in just 30 minutes, then I don’t see any reason why the public should trust us in the future to provide scientific judgment on health issues.
If we’re off by a factor of 500,000 in scientific claims that we’re disseminating widely to the public, then why should the public place any trust in us to convey accurate health information?
An excellent question—let’s see if we hear ANYTHING much about this fraudulent misrepresentation. I will be very surprised, but maybe I’m just cynical. In the meantime, READ THE WHOLE THING

CONTRA DANCING AT THE LEAF - A GREAT WAY TO SPEND MOTHER’S DAY!
LEAF is the LAKE EDEN ARTS FESTIVAL in Asheville, North Carolina. We went over on Thursday, and spent Friday at the BILTMORE ESTATE. Saturday night we CONTRA DANCED until after midnight, to a couple of wonderful bands: THE HORSE FLIES, and the three-person group called NIGHTINGALE, who stayed at the same house we did for the weekend. Sunday, we got up early to hear the WARREN WILSON COLLEGE choir sing traditional Appalachian music, and then did 90 minutes of square dancing before leaving for Kentucky to visit my parents. All in all, a great Mother’s Day!
IS SHELBY STEELE A CLEAR-EYED AND COURAGEOUS MAN…...OR AN UNCLE TOM?
Honestly, I don’t think this is a difficult call—I was convinced by reading THE CONTENT OF OUR CHARACTER back in 1991. He’s kept on writing since then…..always striving to tell the truth, despite the slings and arrows from those who exploit those he seeks to help.
