GIANT OCTOPUS ATTACKS SUBMARINE!

No, I’m not kidding—although it was a “remote-control mini-sub”! But, there’s actually VIDEO of the encounter!! (Update: There IS video, but it’s not on that website, which is the news story about the event…..and I can’t find it. Bummer)

Can’t you just hear the cephalopod convention? “Today, the mini-sub…tomorrow the Polaris!“

Stay away from the water…....

CHRISTIANS ON THE WAY TO DHIMMITUDE IN THE UNITED KINGDOM?

A lot of people don’t even know what DHIMMITUDE is…...but they ought to, and THEY COULD BE STAYING ABREAST of its outrages in today’s world.

The dhimmi attitude of chastened subservience has entered into Western academic study of Islam, and from there into journalism, textbooks, and the popular discourse. One must not point out the depredations of jihad and dhimmitude; to do so would offend the multiculturalist ethos that prevails everywhere today.

But in this era of global terrorism this silence and distortion has become deadly. Therefore Dhimmi Watch seeks to bring public attention to the plight of the dhimmis, and by doing so, to bring them justice.

ONE FRENCH NEWSPAPER has upheld the principle of free speech by republishing the “Danish cartoons” caricaturing the prophet Mohammed. Is it a surprise that in France, this tabloid is on the verge of bankruptcy with a circulation of 60,000?

REACHING THE SUMMIT OF LIFE’S SUCCESS

Full Disclosure—this post isn’t really about Edwards Deming. There’s something much more important coming. So, keep reading.

We’re all hearing stories about Ford Motor Company’s announcement that they’ll be closing 12 plants and laying off 30,000 workers over the next five or six years. This morning, I heard the name EDWARDS DEMING mentioned as the guy who tried to convince post-war American business to adopt his “Total Quality Management” program. He was rejected in the U.S. (according to this story), but

He was invited to Japan at the end of World War II by Japanese industrial leaders and engineers. They asked Dr. Deming how long it would take to shift the perception of the world from the existing paradigm that Japan produced cheap, shoddy imitations to one of producing innovative quality products. Dr. Deming told the group that if they would follow his directions, they could achieve the desired outcome in five years. Few of the leaders believed him. But they were ashamed to say so and would be embarrassed if they failed to follow his suggestions.

As Dr. Deming told it, “They surprised me and did it in four years.“
